You may have heard the term “website maintenance” while on the journey to creating your new website. Either you have gone the DIY route or hired a professional.
What is important to know, is that the site isn’t simply done once launched. A website has updates, capacity changes and many other aspects that will continue running in the background. If you are not specifically equipped with the know – how of how these aspects can affect the running of your website, you may need to consider opting for website maintenance.
For example, once I have created a beautifully unique and functional site, I offer a Monthly Maintenance Plan. ⠀
This plan allows me to keep your site running smoothly from a technical perspective, as well as offers the addition of monthly blog posts and product updates. ⠀⠀
I always offer my clients the option of opting in for the plan on a month to month basis, or if they choose to not pay the monthly fee, it simply works on a call-out fee should something pop up that needs attention. ⠀Make sure that your designer or agency offers some sort of support once you have gone live with your website.
I never disappear nor neglect my clients or their sites. I am always here. The world of the web is a complex place and websites should never be left unattended for a long period. A maintenance plan is crucial for the successful upkeep of your site. ⠀⠀
𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒍, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒆𝒃𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒆… 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖.⠀⠀
You may think that a maintenance plan seems so unnecessary as you dont “physically see” what you are paying for. I get that…. ⠀But what I can do, is give you a quick example of a site that I took over, it hadn’t been maintained nor updated. It was impossibly slow and the user experience was less than satisfactory. The client just did not have the capacity to run the website and update it. Enough time had passed and the website was just unresponsive. ⠀
It pains me to see, as your website is an ever changing and evolving asset to your business. You, therefore, need to ensure it is growing with you and not holding you back. ⠀⠀
So when it comes to opting in for a maintenance plan, remember these words:⠀
𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱⠀⠀
Leave it up to professionals, who take care of the technical stuff while you do what you do best…
